Canang Sari is a traditional daily offering that plays an essential role in Balinese Hindu life, including in Penglipuran Village. It is typically crafted from young coconut leaves woven into a small tray and filled with colorful flowers, porosan , and other offering materials as an expression of gratitude and devotion to God. Throughout Penglipuran Village, canang sari can be seen in temples, at household shrines, in front of homes, and at other sacred sites as part of the community’s daily worship practices. Its presence reflects the villagers’ enduring commitment to preserving their religious traditions through simple yet deeply meaningful rituals. More than a daily offering, canang sari symbolizes purity, sincerity, and the Balinese philosophy of maintaining harmony between humans, God, nature, and the surrounding environment.
